DR. Luis Carrero
I really love being a dentist. It allows me to make people healthy and proud of their smiles. I believe dental treatments can be life-changing. Furthermore, dentistry allows me to do small, detailed work. Teeth are amazingly small, but their impact can be felt over the entire body. I make sure that patients are given personalized treatment plans as well as the time and attention to become experts in their own oral care. With me, patients smile often and for life.
Education and Continuing Education
I joined the Army Reserve when I was 17 years old, which was one of the best experiences of my life. It taught me to respect and love for my country, hard work, and responsibility. All I am today I owe to the men and women in the service who helped shape a young man’s mind to be of service to others. I served until 1998.
I earned my Bachelor of Science from the Inter-American University in Puerto Rico. I continued to the University of Puerto Rico dental school for my dental medicine doctorate, graduating in 2003.
I moved to Florida in 2005, and after working in the corporate setting, I realized I could have a better relationship with my patients if I eliminated the middleman and became independent. I started my private practice in Valrico in 2007. I’ve had the opportunity to serve patients for over a decade. I love my neighborhood and left Tampa to move here 4 years ago. This is my home.
My promise is to provide the best dental care to my patients. The only way to do this is by staying current with the field’s newest materials, techniques, and equipment. Technology is rapidly changing in dentistry. To take advantage of these new benefits, I take numerous continuing education classes, attend conferences and seminars, and am part of many study clubs.
In the Office
I am genuinely interested in the well-being of all our patients. To provide the best service, I keep the practice in tip-top shape. It is efficient and fun yet very professional when it boils down to our dental work. I have an honest and caring approach to treatment. My first goal is to ensure that each patient is as comfortable as possible. I understand how difficult this can be for some patients, and I rise to the challenge.
I know first-hand how painless dental procedures can be, and I strive to make each treatment smooth and easy. Many patients are surprised when it is over because it is so gentle. It is all part of the big plan of providing phenomenal quality oral care and brilliant smiles for life.
